Towing a pick up truck

We have a 2016 Thor Miramar with the Triton V-10 engine, 6 speed transmission. We are looking to tow a 2015 Ram 1500 pickup truck 4 down. I have checked with the manufacturer and they say I am OK, the weight and towing numbers all work. I would appreciate any advice from folks who have the same set up, thank you.
  • We towed a Ford SuperCrew for about 30k miles with a gas coach. No issues. With longer wheelbase toads be sure to test in a parking lot that you can turn the MH a full circle as tightly as possible and the toad won't contact the rear cap or ladder of the MH. In our case we had to upgrade to the Blue Ox Avail which has longer arms to prevent contact.
  • I already have the Dodge, it is 4WD, but has the neutral disconnect. Ranger Smith, do you have the V-10 also?
  • I don't have the same set up, but I tow a 2017 super cab RWD Ford F150, behind my Class C. I chose the Ford because supposedly it's relatively light, for a full size pickup truck.

I think your MH has a 22,000# GVWR and a 26,000# , so I imagine you might be over your GCWR towing a Dodge. I don't know if you already have the Dodge, but it doesn't necessarily have to be a 4WD vehicle. You can probably have a drive shaft disconnect or a lube pump added, which allows a lot of vehicles to be towed 4 wheels down.
  • I towed ours just fine. It has to be a 4x4 though so you can put the transfer case in neutral.
