TOWING CHEVY HHR
This post is for anyone who is towing a Chevy HHR. Ready to set up my 2011 HHR for towing. I'm 95% sure I'm going to use a plug in wiring kit either from Hopkins, Tow Daddy, or Trailer Mate beacause no cutting of wires is needed. The questions I have concern whether you have also wired in a brake light relay kit (Roadmaster RM-88400) that They say that since brake & turn signals are combined on the toad and using a supplemental braking system it is needed to keep the turn signals operating on the toad. 2ND question. GM has the power cut off feature on there late model cars. After 10 minutes or so power is shut down to various functions in the car.
Does anyone know if the power is cut to the 12 volt receptacle where I plug my Brake Buddy into? I would think that power IS NOT cut to the brake and tail lights through the brake pedal switch because of safety regs. Thanks in advance. Wireman
