towing ford focus

- I have a Focus, great little car. Has nearly 30,000 miles on it, no problems with eating tires or any other problems. Never been back to the Dealer
- Maybe you can help me out, I have a Ford Focus 2010 5-speed transmission, the manual says to put the key in position #1, (but this is the locked position), it even states that it is the locked position in the manual, my question is, can this be right, wouldn't that just drag my tires around the corners, not only destroying them but possibly the linkage in my steering also?
