In actual fact, and contrary to the intuitive, it is actually easier to tow and maneuver a longer trailer than a short one.
The trailer length, in travel trailers, is less the deciding factor than where the axles are. It is the distance from the pivot point to the CL of the axles that is most important. With most axle sets about midships on TT's the towing is a breeze. It would be even easier if they were farther back. Although then tight right turns take a bit more care.
For the OP: remember that most tractor trailers towing 53 foot trailers can make the vast majority of right turns in most cities without extending into the oncoming lanes.(assuming a 4 lane city street) This means you can do it with no problem. Just get out and drive it and it will soon become apparent what you need to do.
