Towing MPG???
Hi, So what do you get for mpg towing? I have a 7000 pound, 29 foot travel trailer. It is probably about 7500 loaded. With my 2012 Tundra Rock Warrior I get a little under 8 mpg. This is pretty ba...

Turn off the cruise control which is a fuel sucker and drop 5mph and you'll see 9+mpgThey have horrible gear ratios, especially for towing. They do OK for hauling families and light loads, but not trailers. 8 sounds about right.
It has excellent gearing (4.30s stock) for towing, just not good for mileage. Yes, they can suffer from low payload, as with most 1/2 tons, but the drivetrain is a bullet proof tow beast. That old Tundra pulled my trailer better than my current 2014 Ram 2500.
