I am going to see if the paper filter makes a difference in mpg. I can already say that it makes a sound difference. The TRD / K&N style filter made the engine and exhaust have a slight bit more growl. That was cool when not towing. But when towing it was annoying.
I will compare the noise towing with the paper filter as well. Curious to see if it makes a difference.
