When we switched from towing a small 5th wheel with a half-ton truck(ave. 10 MPG) to a 30 ft. Class C MH towing a car I was worried about the extra cost of decreased mileage. Frankly, it isn't at all noticeable in the budget for a trip. In fact, we probably have a net gain by having the small car to drive. The only way to get a significant gain would be to go diesel and/or downsize.
