What could possibly go wrong? :)
When I put the base plates on my Jeep Liberty my local RV dealer wanted a fortune for labor. I don't recall the exact numbers now but I went to my local Jeep dealer (that also had a body shop) and asked how much for them to install them. The cost was half of what the RV shop wanted. And even though the guy had never installed them before, it was an actual body and fender guy that put them on. I gave him the instructions and I think it took about an hour. On my Dodge Dakota, I put them on myself. They installed in existing holes and it was a fairly easy job.
