The 2015 HD has been on dealer lots for only a few months. I have only read a couple posts from owners. Mechanically the 2015 is very similar to the 2011+ GM HD which is only slightly different back to 2007.5. It's a good combo, although not as much power as the V10s you had. Power comes on pretty strong over 3000rpm, but it cruises comfortably in 5th gear at 65mph on flat highway. The 6-spd trans really helps get into the powerband quickly and holds it there when needed.
Yeah their on the road.
Just got back from Florida where we spent 10 days with our son and his familly.
He just bought a 2015 3/4 ton 4x4 Dmax/A with all the bells and whistles. It replaced a '02 chevy Dmax/A with the Edge programmer and with 210k miles.
We used the '15 truck a few times to pull his 9000 lb 26' blue water boat with twin 200 hp 'rudes for some off shore and inter coastal fishing and boat riding.
Granted its as flat as west TX in east central Florida but the truck was very quiet and the Allison never came out of OD even at 70 mph.
He also pulls a 14k GVWR bunk house 5er. He just prepped the truck for the 5er for his 2 week stay in the keys the first of July. He says the '15 pulls the 5er much easier than the '03 even with a programmer.
He's impressed.
