I have a 2018 Ram 2500 with the 6.4 liter Hemi with a tow rating of 15,563 lbs. My question is I am looking at a 5th wheel that has a gross weight of 15,500 and the dry weight is 13,469. Would this be...
It would be a very slow tow at times with the gas engine and the mileage would be awful but I don't see the weight being a huge issue as long as the truck has 18" or 20" tires to get the 6500 lb RAWR. Add bags/timbrens and it should be good up to the 3500's 7000 lb RAWR (not on paper, but real world). The fact that OP lives back east would help in terms of the types of grades and elevation he would typically experience. Just my two cents.
