Hi,
The reason I would like to be able to lock up the camper brakes is because that is how you are supposed to set them. If you read the instruction manual you are supposed to find the point at which they lock up and then dial the brakes back just below that point.
So...if you can't get them to lock up then likely your brakes are not properly adjusted, and since the adjustment process dictates that you find the point at which they lock up that implies that the brake controller should be able to get the brakes to lock up at some point. If it does not, then it makes me question whether they are applying all the power that they should be.
Add to this the fact that I don't get adequate braking power without being on one of the boost modes. That is why I ask the question and wonder if I am getting all the braking power I should.
Furthermore, I actually really dislike the boost modes because they make the brakes too "grabby" when driving at slower speeds or when in stop and go traffic.
With the boost mode on I can make the brakes lock up when flooring the brake at highway speeds---have had to do that before.
