I sometimes have strange events like this and usually gets fixed by squirting some WD40 into the truck side connector and move the plug around a bit.
I guess the connector blades need cleaned sometimes...
A good tool for us is this 7-way connector tester from AMAZON. I have seen them in auto parts stores as well. This helps big time isolating where the problem might be. Truck side or trailer side...
