Trailer tire sealant??

Considering using this sealant in my trailer tires.
Is this common practice??

I use sealants in my quad tires. Works great.
Am wondering if it stays plyable and moves thus perhaps working as a balancing use too.

A nail hole it may fix. A blow out, never

None of them? Not to even be close?
  • Cummins. That’s the problem. I don’t trust any tire manufacturers. The specs they claim do not standup under scrutiny.
I recently compared the stiffness of two tires. The higher side wall ply rating on one was easier to depress that the one with a lower side wall ply rating??
The tire shop manager commented they all have different standards regardless of claims.

Regarding a sticky repair. I have never needed to repair one. Once they leak or separate ( which has been my most often situation) I replace with new gamble.
  • would not use it, but you have to decide what is best for you. Also, you have decide what is best for the safety of everyone on the road.
  • Tire places HATE people who use that stuff. Its gooey and a mess to clean up when they have to change the tire. Most blowouts seem to be explosive blowouts on trailers that cause damage to the trailer in some aspect. Tire goo would do nothing but spray all over the trailer in that instance making a sticky mess. I would not use it but that's me, you can if you want.

  • Why? Unless you have a leak which obviously should be properly fixed its just a waste of money. Besides that once you use that crud the tire becomes unrepairable in the future.
