- GordonThreeExplorerIt's good enough for this purpose. You be amazed what people opt into, or their governors opt them into. This is an "end justified the means" situation.
There's surprisingly little electronic privacy protection in the US, compared to the EU. - way2rollTrailblazer

They know you enter the state because Google, Apple, Facebook, Twitter, etc are all pooling tracking data and sharing it, or preparing to share it at the federal and state level.
So in a sense, yes, they have a drone following everyone.

Nope, just involved with a state agency that is setting up to handle this data.
I thought privacy constraints mean that legally these companies can't share this data, at least PII/personal data. General volumes maybe, but they can't share information on specific people - not legally. Despite class action suits, reputational risk would cause stocks to plummet. So while they can say that X people traveled in this manner, but they can't disclose that Bob went from here to here, unless Bob himself shared it - and even then not at a data level, only at a user level. On top of that, the data is only as good as the volume of users who have these social networks and if their location information is on. - 2_RetiredExplorerEach state is responsible for and in control of their own state parks, forests, etc. If it is a national park or forest, it is under the control of the federal government. Simple. Numerous states are beginning to reopen closed state facilities. Here in Va, for example, state parks are open for "daytime activities", although the beaches in them are closed except for exercise and fishing. All the camping facilities in the Va state parks are closed as of today. Officially, they are still closed until June 10th, but that could be altered.

I agree - we just arrived back home in Michigan after a winter in FL. I had NO food - what the heck was I supposed to do - gnaw on twigs for 2 weeks?
Were they out of food in Florida? - cummins2014Explorer

Whose going to know if you are self-quarantining? Who's going to know how long you've been in the state? Are drones going to follow every out-of-state license plate? So you enter MT and go to an RV park. Are you supposed to check in and say you're under quarantine? This whole subject sounds ridiculous, kind of like using the honor system to enforce speed limits.
Talking to a small fly shop at a RV park we go to for most of the summer in Montana, and they said they were kicking campers out of the campgrounds. I would have to assume is was out of state campers. How ,and why I don't know, but they still have the 14 day quarantine in place, and how they would know the number of days.
I am hoping all that is lifted in June when we are going to go . I suppose if its still in effect, we could be prepared for 14 day quarantine . I have to assume they don't want you in grocery stores ,gas stations etc. That would not be much of a problem where we go , will lhave plenty of food , the river is near by to fish , no need to go anywhere for that 14 days ,suits me just fine :B - Deb_and_Ed_MExplorer II

For those headed south into Florida on I-95, they are still stopping every passenger vehicle/RV, etc at the weigh station (and waving the semi trucks around) - the traffic was backed up about 2 miles.
