My girl works a lot so I often go on trips alone. I have met some really great people including some nice women. Lately I have tried camping near home and inviting friends to join me for dinner. I have a fire going when they get there. The nights get long by about late October. Having some company is appreciated. Sometimes my girl will show up for a night if it is not too far from home.
My Border Collie is a lot of company. Having a TT for the long nights is a great improvement compared to being stuck in a tent in the dark.
