- sdianel_-acct_cExplorerWhat redcatcher70 said. We took that route in a Class A with toad. No problem. Nice little city owned RV park in Berryville AR on the left. Very reasonable rates. We stayed there and drove the toad into Eureka Springs, about 7 miles away.
- PawPaw_n_GramExplorer71 isn't steep between Texarkana and Fort Smith. It does have some grades, but they are not big ones.
Since the interstate through the mountain was completed - driving from Fort Smith to Fayetteville is easy.B.Sjulestad wrote:
X2 this would be the easiest route but my favorite is 23 up from I40
I also love the Pig Trail from Ozark north. But it does have some steep sections.
Heck, I took my TT up old 71 over the mountain a couple years ago on a trip to Devil's Den. What was a horrible hectic trip when I was in college back 40+ years ago is now a pleasant near traffic free drive. But it is steep and long going up the hill. - B_SjulestadExplorer II

From Texarkana, follow I-30 to North Little Rock to I-40. Take I-40 west to Conway. AR then take Hwy 65 North. Follow Hwy 65 to Harrison, AR. A couple of miles north of Harrison, exit on to Hwy 62 West. Follow Hwy 62 into Eureka Springs. There will be some hills, they are unavoildable going to Eureka Springs from any direction, but this is the easiest route I know of for you.
X2 this would be the easiest route but my favorite is 23 up from I40 - EmptypocketsExplorerMy recommendations would be 71 to Ft Smith then I540 to Springdale 412 East to Huntsville then 23 this brings you into Eureka Springs. PLEASE do not I repeat do not do the 62 route from Bentonville to Eureka Springs unless you want switch backs.
- rseymour21ExplorerHwy 71 to Fort Smith, 550 to Bentonville then 62 to Eureka! The only part of that I haven't done is 71! When you reach the hills, drive slower!

- Jim-LindaExplorer IIDon't think it will happen. Springs is in a hilly location. Thousands of people travel roads with hills without incident, what is your concern.
