We left Blythe on Tuesday AM heading for L.A. It was over 120 in some spots on Monday and our basement AC could not keep up with the temps so we aborted a trip further South. We left in AM and took it easy and arrived home without problems. We were pulling our towed and I was vey happy with engine temp range. I hope you can get out safely as we did.
I was too tired from driving and setting up in 120 degrees to drive back home Monday at night. I agree if you're well rested, drive at night or at least between 4:00 and 11:00 or 12:00. We DW, DGD and myself, went through almost a full 40 bottle case of 1/2 liter bottles of Arrowhead water from Monday at 9:00 when we left and Tuesday 4:00pm when we got home.
