Perfect answer. Another idea for things to see/do along the way would be to list the kinds of things you're interested in so we can zero in on choices.

If your trip is planned to move around and test out different areas, I wouldn't recommend locking yourself into making tons of reservations. There are always spots available for short stays. That's what we've found anyway.

Above all...always keep in mind that when you receive a flippant, rude, condenscending reply to a post to ignore it. Most RVers are very helpful. The few that are combative aren't worth your attention.

Dennis12, I am suprised that no one else mentioned it, but go down and look at the articles and information in the FORUM TECHNICAL SUPPORT section. Lots of good info on how to use the forum, post pictures, and search for help. Otherwise, Welcome to the forum, and always remember to close out your topics with whatever resolution you arrive at.

A word of caution: I wouldn't post my phone number or email address in a posting. If you do a search of your phone number, you will find your post above on the third page of the results, at least that was where it was when I did the search. Google, as well as scam artists, have bots searching the internet for personal info so be careful where you post what. You can always ask us to contact you by Private Message and give us your personal contact info when we do that. It is much more private!

You are already learning how to use the forums, so I'll skip all that. If you come through SC I'd suggest you look into Huntington Beach State Park just south of Myrtle Beach. Great beach, close to great seafood, golf if so inclines, across the street from Brookgreen Gardens, and close enough to all the tourist areas. Next stop would be Charleston and a nice place to stay if Johns Island County park. Even has a shuttle to Charleston. If you like military museums then a half day visit to Patriots Point and then FT. Sumter might appeal to you. Great food and things to do in Charleston. We also like Hunting Island State Park near Beaufort. They are currently doing some remodeling and repairs from the great rain of October but should be in great condition in the early spring. Have a good trip.

Many of us can and will give you several routes to take, and there are several choices and a lot of people go that way each year. I think that you need to look at some of the options, and probably wait a bit later to make a final decision. With the way the weather has gone the last few years, it could be a toss-up. If another bad storm comes up the east coast, it could put a full stop on travel that direction. Down thru WVa. is a pretty drive, with mountains and steep curves, ans can be a real challenge. Of course over to I-81 and down is a good start, I-95 is more direct, but full of traffic. Get out your maps, and look at the options. Then look at the weather reports, and be prepared to change you route and plans depending on the weather.

As far as your statement about being offended that happened to me in the past not knowing how a forum worked I quit trying to use it but this time I'm breathing easy. I have already received 4 phone calls that have been very informative and I think that they have me going in the right direction.
