Something that hasn't been mentioned is operating the fridge while not level.
It's fine while driving down the road. But if you stop for any length if time, maybe as short as 10 minutes, you could be doing damage to the fridge if it's not reasonably level.
If I can't find a level place to park to take a break, eat lunch or whatever, I turn off the fridge. I'll turn it back on just before we hit the road again.
I don't have access to my fridge without bumping out a slide but I do always have access to the 12V disconnect switch in an outside storage compartment. If I'm not opening the slide blocking the fridge, I turn off the disconnect switch to remove the 12V to the fridge to shut it down.
When we are ready to leave I turn the switch back on and go to the outside fridge compartment to listen for the burner roar.
