truck stops

No doubt many RVers pulling rigs longer than legal limits complain about people who feel “entitled”.

When I'm home have zero problem parking my rig and trailer

Fueled up this morning at P & H Truck stop Wells River Vt, 225 gallons paid at the pump with a credit card in the truck lanes.

^^^^ been to all 48 states, Canada and Mexico, haven't been home since 10/16, just left property I own in Vermont on my way to visit friends in Kansas.

Just out of curiosity, do you keep that rig near home?

I don't see the point of having a rig you can only legally drive in a handful of states, your own state not being one of them.

Wife always handles the charge in those places that do not allow charge at pump. The thing I like about the truck pumps is the DEF is only $2.80 a gallon. When driving across the US I go through gallons of DEF. I don't care for debit cards and don't mind paying a few cents a gallon for the ability to pull into the truck lanes. With my trailer going anywhere else usually is not an option.

I'm as confused as you are, Cummins. I've yet to find a big truck stop where I could start and pay at the pump with a credit card. And I've been coast to coast.

The only thing close is going to Pilot/Flying J and using the RV card charge account which I pay at the start of each month.

Otherwise, my wife and kids head in to pay and will give the cashier an estimate of what we'll need. We don't get a receipt as I track everything in a different app. The stations have always charged the correct amount to my card (I believe it's a pre-auth vs. auth in credit card terms speak).

I think people simply don't read and comprehend the words. "Truck Stop" YEA I have paid with a CC at a TruckStop!!! Auto and RV lanes YES, Truck lanes, NO!!!
