question - the news report, as far as I know do not reference any mile post. How do you know that it was at/near Officer Gulch?..
Yes - that stretch from Copper Mtn down to the Frisco exit is a notorious 'speed trap' area because the grade is so hard to recognize that it is extremely hard to maintain the speed limit! (now don't ask me how I know!!) - Experience!
