Pulling should be no problem. Where your going to run into trouble is the factoey GM hitch. Over the years they have been notoriously weak. Have you considered a fifth wheel? Thats a really large TT, so unless you get some serious hitch gear your probably going to hate towing.
A 5er would probably be worse on payload, right? I haven't found any with pin weights below 1200#, plus the added hitch weight.
Next truck will be a one ton, but that's not going to be for a few years. And I need a bigger trailer now...
