I love my Garmin - hasn't set me wrong yet.
There are many settings you can change - shortest distance, shortest time (not necessarily the same) and I can't remember off the top of my head with the 3rd is.
There are also settings for type of vehicle you are driving. For a car, a left turn to your destination isn't that bad, but it seems the truck setting tries it's best to get you to approach with the turn to the right, which is great for the MH.
Can also set it to avoid tolls or highways.
Plus, with LMT, can update the map anytime there is a new one available.
