Turn signal indicators

Why don't rv manufacturers install turn signal indicator lights along the sides of RV's? Don't say its because of cost because that just does not compute when you are spending 10's of thousands of dollars .......Retrofitting them is a PITA......

  • I installed my own. And they are needed because people are not very considerate on the road. They are too busy doing everything else but drive. Anything that might grab their attention to my intent to change lanes helps. Just my opinion.

why are those even needed?? all RVs have tail lamps in the rear and indicator lights for the driver on the dash.

Have you ever been driving down the interstate and had and rv pass you and come over on you? He is not past you so you cannot see his tail lights and he is far enough ahead of you to not be able to see his tail lights because rv's are wider than the trucks towing them.....
  • OK, I'll tell you then they are not required by any US law. So why install something that is not required? Would they make your RV safer? Maybe, maybe not. If you want them, and feel they would enhanse your safety go for it!
