We use Millenicom for our mobile internet. Have had good reception everywhere we have been in 3 years.
For the tv - we have an older tv with the digital converter box. Antenna and built in antenna booster. We usually get 15-20 channels from most anywhere. Maybe you should check all the antenna connections -- is your booster turned on?
