- usersmanualExplorer1. Many CGs don't have cable TV. If they do, sometimes the picture quality is so low it's hard to watch.
Yes Outdoors resorts Indio charges as much as $2500 per month and their cable is so bad its hardly watchable.not many channels and NO HD TV - ol_Bombero-JCExplorer

Any Recommendations for TV viewing? some RV parks do not provide or have available cable TV what do any of you full timers use for TV other than antenna?
For lots of info on satellite, etc. - the *Technology Corner* forum (here) would be helpful for you..:W
. - Stepheng1ExplorerOK folks I get it and thanks for all the great info.
- Ski_Pro_3ExplorerI have Xfinity cable TV. I can watch any programming, including the DVR programs I saved, from my laptop. As long as there is wifi, I can watch anything I would have been able to watch at home on my cable. With a personal HOTSPOT, I have my wifi.

That is quite different than saying that people will be getting TV via an over-the-air wireless connection on bandwidth assigned to cellular providers.
"The Internet" implies nothing about the transport mechanism in use.
I happen to get all of my information feed on a fiber to my house.
It is all digital; Internet, TV and Phone (not VOIP).
I guess you could say that I am getting my TV "from the Internet" but that isn't really true. - rexmitchellExplorer

We cut the satellite. 159.00 or so a month, and the Mh not in use more than one or two months, total.
Still have good antenna reception in many places and cable.
An if we have too MIFI.
That is why dish was such a good deal for me. It is like 105$ for home and rv, 5$ of that being rv. - down_homeExplorer IIWe cut the satellite. 159.00 or so a month, and the Mh not in use more than one or two months, total.

We can park under anything and set the dish up where we need it. I can also use it at home in the backyard if I want. We changed home satellite to dish because to add a rv satellite to your existing account is like 5-7 a month and we get all the same channels. Can't beat that deal for basically two subscriptions for a couple bucks more a month. We love it. I think dish has the best deal now.

...Folks are cutting the cable at their homes and with each cord cutter, the number of cable /satellite users decreases...
true but I suspect it has more to do with the price point of cable/sat service than anything else. AT&T U-Verse advertising in my area (Chicago) indicates they have a 45gb monthly cap on data. my EarthLink has no such cap and, AFAIK, neither does Comcast. any data cap belies the idea of streaming TV. yes, the level of technology today has nothing to do with "tomorrow" but the improvement in the data networks will have to be enormous for this to happen. - hpdrverExplorerOne more post and I will drop it. Technology is advancing, what exists today will not be the future. Folks are cutting the cable at their homes and with each cord cutter, the number of cable /satellite users decreases. If campers can be numerous enough to support satellite tv and make it profitable , great. I do not think that will happen. Technology is advancing and in 5-10 years most people will get tv via the Internet.
