TV Tie down suggestions

Just installed a flat screen TV larger than the old one. I mounted the new TV on an articulating mounting bracket. Looking for suggestions on how to best keep the TV from moving when on the road. Will the TV gripper by camco work on a wall mount.

  • Do as Tiggs said. That's what I did to my 2 TV is a strap screwed and a buckle system. Easy to attach and release when parked.
  • New to all this camper stuff but the PO of our camper installed a flat screen tv on a swivel and he mounted a couple hooks to the cabinet nearest the tv and use a couple little bungee cords to secure it.
  • I have 3 TVs. it came with a 17inch bedroom a 22 inch living room TV that I use if I am just overnighting. If I am going to stay longer than two days I take out the 38 inch set I store in the closet and just put it on the living room desk or bedroom counter top. I keep the 38 inch set safe by stuffing two pieces of rubber foam between the front and back @ 30 pounds it is easy to move back and forth storage and a position where it can be viewed
  • Skipg,

I replaced our front 19" Samsung tv with a 32" Visio tv. I mounted it using an articulating wall bracket. I tried the velcro method first but it looked cobbeled. I bought the Camco grips and installed them on the bottom of the tv and to the outside/bottom of the cabinet that once held the 19" set. It made for a much neater appearance. I've driven over 10K miles with this setup and no problems.
  • Mine uses nylon straps attached to the wall and hold the TV with a snap buckle (like a dog collar). Without going to check, I think the straps were set under the mounting bracket with the mounting screws holding both the bracket and the straps.
