Update on Texas vehicle registration inspection requirement
"During a Senate Transportation Committee meeting chaired by Senator Nichols, Whitney Brewster, the Director of the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, publicly stated in the Transportation meeting that residents who are out of state at the time of re-registration will be allowed to complete the process without the need to return to the state for the vehicle inspection. On-line re-registration will be available for people who choose to use this option; however, at this time we do not know what type of documents will be needed to show proof that one is out of state."The complete article here:
