Every day, I look at the TT covered, looking sad and lonely. Come on Spring!! I can't wait to open up the ole gal, air her out, clean her up and finish a couple of projects started late in the year.then she'll be hooked up to go to the CG to fill her with the laughing and happiness and yes, the fighting and arguing that goes with taking your twin teens and two granddaughters camping, but that's what this mama bear loves.So any ideas on speeding up this winter BS?

I'm confused.I just came back from several weeks of laughing and happiness. Where is this BS you are referring to?

I like to go to RVparkreviews.com and check out campgrounds in detail. I'll even use Google earth to check them out. Maybe even put together a trip to someplace (it was Arches Nat. park last time) we wont really go just to engulf myself in it. It takes my mind off the miserable weather for a while and the fact that we wont get out for another 4 months.

MICHIGAN,the frozen tundra (for the last week or so) lol. Unfortunately, I'm to 'young' to run off to the warmer climates. That dang word 'work' and 'school' (though my teens would love to miss school for a few weeks). Don't get me wrong, we have tons of laughing, happiness and fighting in the house but I've got cabin fever bad and it's not even Feb.Jealous of all you 'snowbirds'.

I wish there was a way to speed it up- today we are planning trips for the upcoming season. when I pull in the drive I see the camper and think about the fun we had last year- and the fun we will have this year.

You got to embrace the winter. You can't go snowshoeing or ice skating on a pond in the summer. Dress and get out of the house, go ice fishing or to a ice festival.

We had a terrible winter so far this year, not near enough snow to run the snowmobiles. The nearest good snow is 200 miles away, so that is where I'll go. I feel sorry for those that can't enjoy the real world.

More snow today, about 2-3 inches.
That's on top of the 15 inches we already had.
22 degrees.
I'll be very glad when May gets here.
Shucks, I'll be glad when the "January thaw" hits.

We enjoy the real world, we just don't wear winter well. Our trailer is sitting in the drive looking very forlorn and unloved too.

I enjoy my real world, and there's NO snow in it, got rid of that world 30 years ago when we escaped NY.

We have taken a few "Virtual Camping Trips" (VCT) during the winter and it definitely helps. I will use Google Earth for most of the driving, and use street view when we are site seeing. May even visit a web site or two when we look at places to stay. Ah yes. :)

So pull the kids from school and book a quick trip to Mexico, Bahamas or Florida. I used to make long weekends and book a quick trip leaving Thursday night and returning Sunday late for many years when winter hit. You can get some really inexpensive last minute bookings.

Walked out of church this morning with my coat unzipped, no gloves. I commented to DH that it definitely feels warmer this morning, and isn't that a relief? Then we got into the car and the thermometer said 7 degrees. So yeah, it's been bitterly cold for today to feel better. As I type, DH is outside scraping the driveway in a fall jacket and baseball cap (12 degrees).
