Ultra Fab Jacks

Do any of you have an Ultra Fab 4000 jack?I bought one last year and several months later it failed.I called the company and they sent one out right away. Then last week that one died. Called again and they sent another one.Anyone else have problems with them?

  • Fla-gypsy,I can assure you it's not an operator era. This is my 4th travel trailer and the Barker was on there for almost 9 years with no issue. When I called Ultra Fab,the person I talked to indicated they had some issues with the first one I bought but had corrected them.Yet the second one didn't even last as long as the first one.
  • I have the Ultrafab 4000 and it has worked flawlessly for me for three years.

  • I have been using the same UltraFab for 8 years. May be an operator issue.
  • I had a Barker that lasted for years.I too had to replace a micro switch which they provided at no charge.I should have gotten another one.
  • I bought an Ultra Fab 4000 last year, and the first time I used it I retracted it all the way before I let up on the switch and blew the fuse. After that I painted the tube with red paint marking the stopping points at both ends and make sure to let up before it hits them. Never had any problems since.
  • The only problem I had with Ultra Fab jacks was my fault, bent it. Those people are GREAT to work with and stand behind their product.
  • as far as I'm concerned they are the bottom of the heap when it comes to reliable jacks. I would put my money on a Barker jack any day of the week. I had a Barker for over 20 years and the only trouble I had was a switch went out and they sent a replacement for free.
