Universal Studios Fla.

Planning on going this late spring. We are looking for campground information and what to see while there. We have a 5th wheel and just my wife and I early 60's
  • We always prefer to stay at Fort Wilderness when we are near Disney. If we do end up staying somewhere else, we like Tropical Palms.

  • You will probably get a better response under the "campground and attractions" forum. Mod can move it if you'd like.
  • If you can't get a spot at Ft. Wilderness, there are plenty of state parks close by - wekiwa state park comes to mind. We stayed there and went to Sea World. Was a 20 minute drive.
  • Look for Christmas RV Park...It's 35mi to Universal, a pretty easy drive on Toll 528. The park is in the country, 9mi to the Titusville. We couldn't stay at Wilderness last time and over the years, haven't found much to our liking closer to the amusement parks.

That looks like a very nice park...
  • You might look at orange grove c.g. nothing fancy but reasonable and great office people.
  • Bill Fredrick Park at Turkey Lake. Its run by the city of Orlando, and has spots with full hookups.

Its a very inexpensive, quiet campground and probably 5 minutes from Universal.

  • We like Tropical Palms as well. I'm writing this from their pool. :)
