Putt Putting out of a campground, down a few surface streets isn't going to spin up a turbo and the engine still gets warmed up before hitting the interstate. A 20-30 minute idle is just not necessary to protect your turbo.
Why don't you just put in a block heater and plug in at night? Not like you pay extra for the electricity used.
