The rear window on the RV was open about four inches, and the force of the "explosion" shredded the spare tire cover and also blew the screen into the RV. No damage to the screen, but it was popped out of the window frame.
What causes these types of failures? This tire was new, was properly inflated, and had never been over sped, over inflated, or under inflated. No impacts, or other abuse.
Hercules did send us a check. I have photos of those four tires all failing on the same day. What's up with that? They (Hercules) must of known that there was a major defect in their tires, but they would not discuss the cause.
