I weigh our trailer about every two years, the last weight was 1220 on the tongue, and 6920 on the axles, for a total of 8140. Max payload for the RV is 9500. So we're well within our specs. The weight was taken as we were leaving to go camping, so we were loaded to about our camping average.
My point in this thread is that it B.S. that these tires are failing. I bought the best tire that I could from a tire dealer that I've known for years. I'm more interested in safety than price. There's something inherently wrong when tires fail like these fail. If this was happening on a U.S. passenger car line there would be a Federal investigation.
