At those temps most likely your transmission torque converter is not staying LOCKED.

Look into getting it to stay locked and I guarantee your heating issues will vanish.

Worst temps I have ever sewn on my truck is 172 in 100 degree weather at the top of a several mile 6% grade towing 35k combined.
