upgrading the Hitch from class 2 to 3 on my motorhome

I have a 2004 coachmen freelander 2490 SO The chassis a E450 with a GCWR of 20,000 and current weight of around 14,000 I currently have a class 2 hitch and need to upgrade to a class 3 to tow my 3...

You really should ask the manufacturer of the RV. Odds are they will say "no."

My guess is they put the Class 2 hitch on it because that is all they are willing to guarantee the frame extension for.
