DirecTV is letting you know to try to get you bug TWC about it, they are the ones asking for more money.
Normally I would agree with you. It is a negotiating tool.
This time it is a little different. For the first time, Direct started it's own channel, which I'm sure wasn't cheap. Makes me think that this time Direct is planning to lose TWC.
