USA Sticker Maps - Settle an argument!

Ok, here's the deal. Some family thinks that in order for you to add a new sticker to the map, one must CAMP in that state with the camper/rv.

And other family members think that you can add a sticker to the map once the camper/rv PASSES through the state, pulled or driven. Camping not required.

Which is it?

    Yes, but my DW might!

    Happy wife happy life
  • Repeat after me: You are absolutely right, Dear!

(There really is no right or wrong way, but Happy Wife = Happy Life, ya know?)
  • Your map, your rules.

Since there are more than one of you, that's perhaps harder to figure out. Maybe have a family meeting to discuss and vote on it. Maybe figure out some way to have a partial/lighter filling in for driving through and a proper full filling in for camping. Maybe be a benevolent dictator and say that your preference is the correct one for this map. Maybe have two maps with two different criteria. Maybe get rid of the map and enjoy your travels in harmony.

The map in my signature reflects actual camping/sleeping in the RV in the state. I would have MA filled in if it were merely driving through. (Whether one could readily discern that difference on it is another matter entirely.)

The map on the side of my RV doesn't have any states filled in because I didn't get the state stickers to fill in the frame from the previous owner and I haven't yet bought any states or otherwise worked out what to do to fill them in.

  • It's your map. Have it mean whatever you like. The map police will NOT prosecute you.
