Just because something is a reality because of rules or 'norms' does not make it right or not selfish.
But somebody else said it,, the only thing productive you can do is try to change the rules. ...of course then somebody will complain.
And come on, a rule permitting a LOUD STINKY lawnmower like thing to run all day in what can be reasonably expected to be a quiet area is blatantly wrong. It is likely based on a great individual excuse, but excluding the majorities enjoyment of the venue.
Or, or, we could stop thinking we are all sooo special that we can do stuff that negatively affects others for our own selfish reasons. That is the concept I think we should go with.
