So. I truly hate generators, and love to camp on the Blue Ridge Parkway. And trust me when I say. There is no such thing as a quiet generator in any CG on the BRP. No matter how quiet you think it is. It can be heard more than 100 yds away. A person whispering can be heard as well. It's REALLY QUIET, AND DARK, in the BRP CGs. You can hear, and see someone strike a match across the valley. Did I mention. It is, or WAS quiet?
However. the generator crowd has arrived, and ruined them for relaxing, and camping. Now it's like sitting at a truckstop. What did we do about it? Found some private CGs on the BRP. They are way quieter than the Parkway CGs that have been turned in what sounds like a truck stop, AND they have full hookups.
So y'all stay in the truckstops, and we'll stay in the nice quiet privately owned CGs. With electricity on the pole. The kind you have to polute nature to have.
