I guess, My biggest question. Is, IF you just can't live with out electricity for a couple days. Why would you go to a primitive CG where there is no electricity? Why wouldn't you go to a CG that has electricity. Not wondering about race camping, or way out in the boonies away from everyone camping, But in a campground with other campers just 75 feet or so away. I'm talking about elevations where AC is not needed, and locations where no TV reception is possible. It's painfully obvious you are NOT going for the quiet. It left when you got there. So why go.
We go there, or went there for the quiet, we cook outside. In fact in those CGs we only use the TT for sleeping, and to carry our gear to the campground. When I get up in the morning ot start my breakfast fire. I'm as quiet as possible so as not to disturb the CG morning quiet. Sit by the fire, and drink my orange juice, Right up till the camper wanabe next door fires up the deafening generator, so they can make coffee. Then all bets are off.
I know you say, Cause we can. But you know. There is lots of stuff I CAN do. Like chop wood at 6 in the morning, Or crank up the truck, open the doors, and crank up the stereo. Get my guitar,. and play, and sing as loud as I can. Or just drive around the loop endlessly, and no, None of that stuff is as bad as running a generator. I don't. Because I respect other folks quiet time. Guess I'm close to alone in that reguard.
