........ If it bothers you, I would suggest that you're the one in the wrong campground.
That is the attitude that has me pissed off about generator use.
Here's a question for you: You want quiet. Do I say you're selfish for wanting quiet?
I want A/C... but I'm the one that's selfish.
I think we should just agree that we all want what we want, and if we don't get it we're gonna be unhappy and the other guy is at fault.
For the record, I don't make a habit of camping where there is no hookups. I would prefer to not run the A/C at night. But if I happen to be somewhere and it's not against the rules, and it's hot, and I don't have a hookup, the genny is going on for the A/C.
Feel free to use the side of your RV as a movie screen, or let your kids run wild, or have a smokey campfire. You won't hear me complaining.
The big difference, that nobody seems to get, is that your ac effects everyone's quiet while everyone's quiet only affects your AC.
Now if your AC cooled everybody annoyed by your AC, we would have a different scenario. ....of course somebody would want it warmer and we would be right back at square one,
"Feel free to use the side of your RV as a movie screen, or let your kids run wild, or have a smokey campfire. Campfires can be reasonably expected to be at campgrounds. Movie screens and nasty behaving kids, not so much.
