Of course you should camp - but if you must run your gen' all night long, why not find a spot away from other campers so you don't ruin their camping experience?
If generators bother you that much perhaps you should use private campgrounds that do not allow the use of generators.
Or those who must run their gen's all night long should use areas as far from others as possible. Wouldn't that be a workable solution for both sides? This way your noise and exhaust smells and fumes wont bother anyone. :)
Also, it seems to me that we always blame the motorhome crowd for all of the problems. Don't forget that most of us started out sleeping in tents and worked our way up to a motorhome. We are an older crowd and just not able to rough it to the extent we used to but we still enjoy being outdoors.
We have a gen in our Class-C and wouldn't think of running it all night long if others were close by. Despite our health issues, we don't feel we should impose noise and pollution on others.
