Use of Generators to run Air Conditioners when camping

I think that some of the issue is that generators and generator use is a lot more prevalent in the last 10 years.

What used to be a generator-free campground is now very likely to have a generator.

And in your state park/forest service/natural area, the generator noise is something of a crime to those wanting a natural environment (whether during generator hours or not).
