Please excuse my ignorance here... I am unable to find ethanol free gas within an hour of where I live. I have a John Deere tractor and the dealer and the owners manual specifies ethanol free gas or ethanol treatment. I use a product like Stabil fuel or Startron fuel treatment in that engine.
My ignorant question... would using one of those products in my truck give the same result as ethanol free fuel would in terms of 4-6% better fuel mileage?
I'm not worried about damage to the engine because of the E15, but there are a couple of trips that we take that I can **almost** get there in one tank of gas. It would be a lot easier on me if I got 5% better mileage and could get to the campground and drop the trailer before going back out to fill up.
