Using IR Thermometer to Check Tire Temp (Motorhome)
Looks like we're not going to be able to use our TPMS sensors on the new MH for now.
I recall reading a few posts from people who use an infrared thermometer to
get tire temp readings during "pit stops". If you do this, do you go by the same
temperature standard for your external readings as the TPMS does for the inside
air temp (i.e. safe is below 175f)?
Also, is it correct to presume that you measure the tread temp rather than the side wall?
