It's up to the individual. You can start new with your new unit or, you can count the places you have visited/camped in the past.
Personally, I will use the places I have visited/camped when we get a new RV.
Just because you did not visit in your new unit does not mean you have not been there or camped it that particular state.
There is no right or wrong way.
