It works, the toilet won't overflow, but it's going to be stinky. Especially if your sludge has been sitting in the tank in the heat. I'd run an exhaust fan.
I just have to share this tale from my past. I was living in a small trailer on a friend's property. Every week or so when there was nobody home in the house I'd fill a couple 5 gallon tanks with black water, walk them into the house and dump in the toilet.
The odor was so foul I thought I wouldn't be able to get rid of it before they returned home. It did air out, but it took at least a half-hour. I still laugh about it.
