I've never heard of anything like that.
Actually when I got my first MH I took off that decal and the manuf decal cause it looked tacky to me!
I think that campground application is similar to the 10 year old rule. if a piece of junk driven by Jed Clampett shows up that they don't want in their campground, check for decal, etc.
