Vent covers
Has anyone put one of these on fans? Does it reduce air flow or hurt the fan

That would be the very first mod I would make if my new TT did not come with them installed already. I added them to my older HTT after we had it 2 or 3 years. I was very glad I did because one of the original crank up vent covers literally fell apart on the next trip. It left small pieces of plastic just laying on the screen. If I had not installed the new covers I would have had an open hole for rain to enter. It is hot and sunny in NM and the original covers just could not take it. As others have said, you can't crank open the original covers all the way but I can't tell that it affects the air flow much. By the way, I did replace the crank up cover so I could close the vent if desired.
